Create Coding Tiles That Fit Your Classroom
Custom Parametric Code Tiles | Unplugged Coding lets you create your own hands-on coding commands directly through MakerWorld Customizer.
Instead of adapting your lesson to a fixed set of tiles, you can create the words, language, dimensions and connector configuration that work for your students and activity.
Use the tiles to build physical algorithms, plan routes, practise sequencing, explore repetition and debug coding challenges—all without requiring a screen.
---
Customize Your Own Set
Use MakerWorld Customizer to change:
- the text on each tile;
- the font;
- one-line or two-line text;
- the tile length;
- the tile width;
- the tile thickness;
- the size and shape of the left connector;
- the size and shape of the right connector;
- whether the tile has connectors on both sides, one side or no connectors;
- and whether the design is created for face-up or face-down printing.
MakerWorld offers more than 8,000 fonts to choose from, making it possible to create coding tiles in different languages and visual styles.
Important font note
OpenDyslexic is not currently included in MakerWorld’s available font library for this Customizer.
Font size and border dimensions are not separate customization controls. Adjust the tile dimensions and choose an appropriate font to create the layout that works best for your text.
