Description
Optimized Filament Spool Rewinder
After testing various existing filament spool rewinders, I found that while they generally work, they often snag, require an unnecessary number of printed parts, are complicated to assemble, or are slow to operate.
Therefore, I developed my own, completely revised Filament Spool Rewinder. The goal was a design specifically optimized for 3D printing, easy to build, and at the same time faster and more versatile to use.
Features
- Design optimized for 3D printing
- Reduced number of printed parts
- Easier and faster assembly
- Revised gear ratio for faster rewinding
- Wider spool holder for a wide range of filament spools
- Supports spools up to 120 mm width
- The maximum spool width can be easily adjusted to your own requirements if needed
Why this version?
The focus was on a design that is as simple and reliable as possible:
- Fewer parts mean shorter printing time and lower material costs.
- Assembly is significantly simpler than with many comparable models.
- Thanks to the optimized gear ratio, filament can be rewound much faster.
- The widened spool holder also allows for rewinding larger or wider filament spools.
I appreciate your ratings, assemblies (preferably with pictures), and suggestions for improvement!
Happy printing and rewinding!
