Ford Car Ashtray in PETG

🚘 Car Ashtray / Container with Ford Logo (Optimized for Cup Holders)

This model is a portable ashtray (or small waste container) specifically designed to fit perfectly into your car's standard cup holder. I personally use it to store my heated tobacco sticks that I use with IQOS.

Featuring the iconic Ford logo design on top, it combines utility and brand passion in a single 3D printed accessory.

The design features a tilting/rotating lid that allows easy disposal of small items or ash, keeping the car's interior clean and tidy.

☀️ Material Choice: Summer Heat Resistance

PETG was used for this print. Unlike classic PLA, PETG offers significantly higher thermal resistance (up to approximately 75-80°C). This choice is crucial for car accessories, as the car's interior under the summer sun can reach critical temperatures that would easily deform other materials.

🛠️ Printing Tips (Print Settings)

• Recommended material: PETG (highly recommended for in-car use) or ABS/ASA for even more extreme temperatures. In any case, printing in PLA is also fine
• Layer Height: 0.2 mm for a good compromise between print time and surface finish.
• Infill: 15-20% (Gyroid or Grid for good structural integrity).
• Supports: Components are designed to minimize the use of supports, but check the lid's overhang based on your printer's calibration.
• Multi-color (MMU/AMS): The Ford logo on the top can be easily printed in two colors (Blue and White) via standard filament change or AMS system for a clean and professional final effect.

📦 Components included in the project:

1. Main body: Conical cylindrical cup for cup holder placement.
2. Tilting lid: The top part with the integrated logo, which detaches from the cylindrical cup for quick emptying.
