This project has been completely renovated and optimized to include the absolute most accurate structure of the airport complex, making it the perfect print for aviation enthusiasts, geography nerds, and Texas locals.

🖨️ Recommended Print Settings (Optimized for Detail)

Because airports are vast and flat, this model contains ultra-fine details that require specific slicer configurations to print successfully without breaking or warping:

  • Nozzle Size: Designed and optimized explicitly for a 0.2mm nozzle to capture the tiny gate lines and terminal structures.
  • Layer Height: Highly recommended to print at 0.1mm layer height or finer.
  • The Anti-Snap Tower Fix (7 Walls): The iconic active Air Traffic Control (ATC) tower is built true-to-scale. Because the real tower has a very skinny base stem, a standard print can be extremely delicate. This print profile has been pre-configured with 7 Wall Loops to force the printer to pack the entire tower solid with dense, rigid rings.

🛑 Bed Adhesion and Removal Warning

  • Clean the Plate: Make sure your Textured PEI plate is completely clean and free of finger oils using dish soap and hot water or Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) before starting.
  • Removal Tip: Let your build plate cool down completely to room temperature before removing the finished model. Gently flex the spring steel plate away from the control tower side to prevent snapping the delicate structures!
