Description
Chamberlain Remote Control Case – 1:1 Replacement with Keyring
On my original Chamberlain remote control, the back ring used to attach it to the keyring broke off. That's why I recreated the case as a precise 1:1 copy and optimized it for 3D printing.
The replacement case takes on the form and function of the original, but features a stable attachment option for the keyring. The existing electronics and buttons of the remote control can be easily inserted into the printed case.
Required Parts
- 1 × M2.5 screw
- 1 × M2.5 heat-set insert
The heat-set insert is carefully placed into its designated recess. Afterwards, the two case parts can be securely connected with the M2.5 screw.
Print Instructions
The model should preferably be printed with a sturdy wall thickness and sufficient infill, as the keyring attachment is regularly stressed.
The best print would, of course, be with a Resin Printer (SLS/SLA); I would like to test it with that as well.
Feel free to include some pictures with your reviews, so I can see if anything could be improved :)
I hope this model also helps others whose remote control case or keyring has been damaged.
Happy printing!
