I recently bought a Unifi Travel Router and wanted to make a shell for it to prevent it from becoming scratched up. Most of what I could find online were storage/travel cases which were used to only store the router, but I wanted something more akin to a phone case that would be permanently on it, so that I could throw it into a backpack, cable bag, etc… and reduce the chances of the white plastic becoming scratched and scuffed up. Also helps in case you accidentally tug the power cable and it falls onto the floor, etc…

I have left the case mostly open to allow for better heat dissipation, and the case is reversible meaning you can install the router in either direction (front or back) depending on where you prefer the screw holes. This decision was made mostly because I wanted the design to be more open and wasn't sure how to design the back ideally.

Requires 4x M3x10mm screws to close the case, and the screws are threaded directly into the plastic - please don't overtighten these. I might add a version that uses threaded inserts but for the time being I don't think this is necessary as it isn't load-bearing in any capacity.

All ports are fully accessible, the power port and tethering port are both recessed - you can still use the little USB-C plug that came in the tethering port, however this would likely be difficult to remove. Both ethernet ports are fully accessible as the recess allows the ethernet cover to be lifted up as usual.
