Bill of Materials
Description
This is a highly detailed, 3D printable model of the symbolic Athena pin, famously given by Penelope to Odysseus in Christopher Nolan’s cinematic masterpiece, The Odyssey.
This model was meticulously designed to capture the exact look of the screen-used prop. The detailed figure of Athena, holding her staff and shield (with a subtle owl motif), is recreated with precision. It features a finely detailed texture meant to replicate the aged brass of the original prop when printed with appropriate filaments.
The design has been optimized for Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) printing, ensuring the delicate details are preserved. It is scaled to be a functional, screen-accurate replica, perfect for display, cosplay, or as a collector's item for any fan of the film.
The model is provided as a single piece with an integrated spiral base for stability.
Recommended Print Settings:
- Filament: For the best look, I recommend a bronze or brass-filled PLA, or a high-quality "metallic gold" PLA. Post-processing (like a subtle dark wash) works wonders.
- Layer Height: 0.12mm (Highly recommended for the details).
- Infill: 15% Grid or Gyroid.
Supports: Not required, but a small brim is recommended for the narrow base to ensure bed adhesion.
