Description

Bring the terrifying scale of Greek mythology to your desk! This model depicts a fierce Laestrygonian, one of the legendary giant cannibals who nearly ended Odysseus’s journey home.

Designed smartly to allow striking multi-color results without requiring an AMS (Automatic Material System), this print separates the main body, the hands, and the weapon into independent plates. Just print, assemble, and enjoy a stunning display piece!

📜 The Legend of the Laestrygonians

"They were not like men, but like giants... They speared the men like fish and carried them away for their ghastly feast." > — Homer, The Odyssey (Book X)

After escaping the island of Aeolus, Odysseus and his fleet of twelve ships sought refuge in the quiet, cliff-rimmed harbor of Telepylos. Believing they had found safe harbor, eleven captains moored their ships inside the basin. Only the clever Odysseus, ever cautious, kept his ship anchored outside on the rocky coast.

His caution saved his life.

The harbor was a trap. This was the land of the Laestrygonians—monstrous giants of immense strength. Emerging from the cliffs, they pelted the trapped fleet with boulders so massive they shattered the wooden ships like toys. In the chaos that followed, the giants speared the drowning sailors to carry them off for a gruesome feast.

Of all the fleet, only Odysseus's ship slipped its cables and escaped into the open sea. This miniature captures the raw, imposing power of those ancient mythical titans—silent, armored, and ready to strike.
