Overview
This SimpliSafe garage door can be used to attach the 2nd generation SimpliSafe entry sensors to a garage door.
⚠️It is your responsibility to ensure this mount and the SimpliSafe entry sensor hardware does not interfere with the movement of your garage door.⚠️
Material
- Use a high temperate resistant material (PETG, ASA, ABS, etc), and not PLA. PLA may warp in the garage heat causing damage to your sensor and /or garage door.
Features
- Sensor and magnet side mounts
- 2mm break away bar for safety to ensure the sensor mount breaks before damaging the door
Installation
- Find a mounting location that ensures the simplisafe sensor and mounts to not interfere with the movement of the garage door
- Using heavy duty or outdoor double stick tape (e.g., Scotch Permanent Outdoor Double Sided Tape)
- Secure the SimpliSafe entry senors to the mount
- Secure the mounts to the garage door
- ⚠️Leave enough room between the magnet and the moving garage door to ensure the magnet is not pulled into the garage door as it moves
- Carefully cycle the garage door open and closed and ensure there is proper clearance
