Portable air conditioner hose adapter

This adapter allows you to connect a standard 120 mm flexible hose to the evaporator air intake of compatible portable air conditioners, converting a single-hose unit into a dual-hose setup.

By supplying fresh outdoor air directly to the evaporator, the air conditioner no longer uses cooled indoor air for condenser cooling. This can improve cooling efficiency, reduce negative room pressure, and help the unit maintain lower room temperatures.

I have made some space for foamed pvc to seal the adapter firmly, there is 1mm space all around and the width is 4-5mm . The locking part is a bit rough, but it works. You have to glue it together, the aligning pins are there to help you with the glueup, and to maybe stiffen the print. The stoppers needs glue too, the same is with the hose flange, it needs to be fully glued to prevent air leaks. The print uses whole area of X2D (256cm3). On the pictures is old version, i have made some last minute changes to stiffen the print, hope it helps.

Before printing, please compare the dimensions of the air intake with your unit, as many manufacturers use very similar housings but may have small dimensional differences.
