Description

These 3D-printable miter runners are precision-designed for the DeWalt DWE7491 (and DWE7491RS) table saw miter slots. The design uses dovetail-locking segments to reach a length of 390mm, ensuring smooth, consistent travel for your crosscut sled base. I recommend a length of 15.5" (394 mm) for your sled to match these runners.

 

Note on Compatibility: These are explicitly sized for the DWE7491 miter slots. The runners are 19.36 mm wide. I included a small segment to use for a quick test print to verify the fit on your specific machine before committing to the full print.

Bambu A1 Mini Users: Please use the included print profile to print one runner at a time.

Usage Instructions

  1. Place the runners in your saw's miter tracks using washers or coins as spacers to lift them slightly above the table surface.
  2. Apply a small amount of two-part epoxy across the top surface of the runners and carefully place your plywood sled base on top. Avoid too much glue that will leak onto your table saw.
  3. Place a bit of weight on the plywood and leave it for at least 30 minutes for the epoxy to set.
  4. Once the glue is dry, drive short #6 or #8 wood screws through the screw holes in the runner to secure the runners to your sled base.

Safety First: If you're new to woodworking, make sure to check out a few YouTube tutorials on crosscut sled construction before you begin!

 

For best results, print on the textured PEI plate, as the texture provides a superior grip for the epoxy. PLA works but I recommend PETG or PLA+ for added strength and heat resistance. 3D printing the runners has the advantage over wood as it won't bend or warp from humidity changes.
