🖨️ Recommended Print Settings

Because this part will live inside a car, material selection and print orientation are crucial for durability:

  • Material (CRITICAL): Don't use PLA, as it will deform under the intense heat inside a parked car. PETG, ASA, or ABS are highly recommended for high temperature and UV resistance.
  • Orientation: Print the model on its side (horizontal). Just like the gamepad holder, printing on the side ensures the layer lines run along the strength profile, preventing the hook or the clamp from snapping under tension.
  • Infill: 100% (Since it's a very small and thin model, solid infill ensures maximum strength for the clip's spring tension).
  • Wall Loops / Perimeter: 3 or 4 walls. (I used 10 wall loops for maximum strength.)
  • Supports: A little bit of support is needed.
