No Crocs No Masters: anarchy clog charms

Intro

Trivia: the word sabotage is derived from sabot, a wooden clog worn by French workers.

This is a collection of three classic libertarian symbols (punk rock circle a, black flag, and the sabo-tabby) in two styles each (embossed on a disc or cut out outline).

Print and assemble

These two-color charms are designed to print with:

• No supports
• No AMS
• No glue
• No cops, bosses, or politicians

You need to print 1 stud (parametric_snap_base_Base.stl) along with each charm that you print. The stud crown snaps into the socket on the back of the charm, and then the whole thing can be inserted into your clog hole.

The snap join is meant to be a tight fit; you may need to put the tow pieces on a flat surface and then press down with some force until it clicks. If it is too tight (or too loose) you could adjust the flow ratio settings in your slicer to make sure your printer isn't over (or under) extruding.

Manual color changes

The charms are designed so that the top three layers are printed in a contrasting color. This is easy to do even on a printer without multi-filament support: simply add a pause to the beginning of the layer where you want to change filament, and then resume the print after the new filament is loaded.

In Orca Slicer, for example, drag the preview layer slider down to the layer you want to pause before, right click on the slider handle and choose "Add Pause". You may have to look up how to do it in your slicer.

Assuming 0.2mm layer height, you should pause before layer 17.

Printing tips

• Use 3 walls (at least for the stud)
• The footprints can be very small, so set your first layer to a slow speed (30 mm/s or slower) if you have adhesion problems
• Enable "detect thin walls" especially to get all details of the flag and sabo-tabby charms
• Enable ironing on "all top surfaces" for clean finish

Modifications

The FreeCAD project file is available in the downloads section. These were all done in the Part workbench by importing and extruding SVG files.
