Beiyang Fleet Cruiser Jingyuan
Print Profile(2)

Description
This is the third work in the Beiyang Fleet warship series - the cruiser Jingyuan. The overall scale is uniformly 1:125, with a finished length of nearly 60cm. The entire model is fully split into parts and colors. During production, historical details of the ship were restored as much as possible according to historical materials. Due to limitations in materials and modeling conditions, some details could not be perfectly replicated. We ask all model enthusiasts for their understanding. Please be sure to read this section completely before printing!

Printing Parameter Specifications
All parameters are based on Bambu Lab PLA Basic filament, using default print profile. Changes include: 0.12mm layer height, A wall enabled, minimum wall line width 70%, minimum feature size 10%. Matching filament colors include: warm yellow, cocoa brown, jade white, grey, black, red.
Assembly Process
- Prioritize assembling the black waterline hull, using a dovetail joint structure. Parts fit tightly, no extra glue is needed for assembly;
- Then install the jade white bow components, and then lay the cocoa brown deck;
- For the assembly of other small parts and auxiliary components, simply refer to the accompanying display images.
Important Printing Reminders
Mast-like parts are long and thin, it is strongly recommended to print them separately on multiple plates in batches. Printing a large quantity on the same plate can easily lead to spaghetti layer texture defects; The original model file does not have a brim skirt added, mainly to avoid damaging the fitting surfaces of the parts. If spaghetti issues occur during printing, you can add a skirt for optimization. All parts of the entire model were test-printed by me individually, and later integrated and compiled into a parts collection. There might be some minor omissions in the files. If you have any issues, please leave a comment or send a private message, and I will adjust, modify, and update them for free.
Model Production Related Instructions
The model was created using Fusion360 software, referencing various preserved historical photos and ship exterior textures to build the basic model. My personal modeling ability is limited, and it's difficult to achieve extreme precision. I ask hardcore model enthusiasts to be lenient and refrain from criticism if they dislike it. The model is completely free and open source. Modeling, test printing, and splitting from start to finish took a lot of time and effort, so I kindly ask for your boosts and support. Based on feedback from previous model enthusiasts, this update adds a wooden textured deck surface and a matching display stand. The same stand will also be updated in the series' Zhiyuan and Dingyuan ship models. The overall assembly structure refers to the Jingyuan ship-related materials in the Dalian Museum collection, serving only as an assembly reference standard. Small parts have surplus quantities reserved, not a precise set quantity design. The interior of the hull is hollowed out, leaving space for modification, supporting players to install their own RC remote control systems. I have no experience with such modifications. If you need remote control functionality, you will need to explore and modify it yourself. Due to limited personal modeling skills and incomplete historical reference materials, the model inevitably has issues such as missing details and insufficient accuracy in restoration. It's impossible to achieve 100% accurate replication. I hope all model enthusiasts are understanding, and welcome any suggestions for restoration improvements and discussions.
