Description
🧽 SpongeBob "Smashed" - Broken Door Prank / 3D Printer Door Decor
Give your 3D printer the ultimate touch of humor with this fun SpongeBob decoration! Specifically designed to be placed on your 3D printer's glass door (or any window or display case at home), this model hilariously simulates SpongeBob being launched and crashing into the glass, leaving a "broken glass" pattern around him
It's the perfect design to bring a smile to your visitors or the social media community when you show off your prints
🌟 Model Highlights
- Impressive Visual Effect (Prank): The intricate network of fine cracks creates a very realistic optical illusion of fractured tempered glass, highlighting the SpongeBob figure in the center
- Optimized for Separate Printing: The impact cracks can be printed completely flat directly on the print bed, while SpongeBob's body fits perfectly for simple and clean assembly
- Universal Fit: Ideal for your Bambu Lab's glass door, but also works wonderfully as decoration for windows, mirrors, or display cases using a bit of transparent double-sided tape
- Community Humor: An iconic model that will immediately become the center of attention in your workshop or printing area
🛠️ Print Tips (Bambu Settings)
For the crack effect to look as realistic as possible, I recommend following these parameters:
- Recommended Filament:
- For the broken glass: PLA Transparent (Clear) or very fine White PLA
- For SpongeBob: Yellow PLA (Yellow) for the body
- Layer Height: 0.16 mm or 0.2 mm. For the crack section, it is recommended to use few top/bottom layers to keep the lines thin and light
- Infill (Infill): 10% for SpongeBob's body. The cracks are printed almost entirely as solid layers due to their flat thickness
- Supports (Supports): SpongeBob's body (especially the extended arms and legs) benefits from tree supports (Tree Slim) that are very easy to remove. The plate with the crack pattern does not require any supports when printed completely flat against the bed
- Adhesion: Clean your textured plate very well before printing the cracks to ensure that all fine and independent lines adhere perfectly on the first layer
