ODI-Style Handlebar Grips (Ergonomic & Twist-Throttle Compatible)
Upgrade your ride with these classic, high-performance ODI-style handlebar grips. Modeled after the iconic motocross and BMX waffle texture, these grips are designed for maximum traction, dampening, and durability. This specific package includes a dedicated, wider throttle-side grip, making it a perfect fit for electric dirt bikes (Surron/Talaria) and ebikes.
🛠️ Design Features
- Twist-Throttle Ready: Includes two distinct internal diameters. The left grip is 22mm to mount directly to the bar, and the right grip is 24mm to slip easily over your twist-throttle sleeve.
- Classic Waffle Surface: Features a specialized deep waffle pattern for an aggressive, slip-free hold in mud or rain.
- Ergonomic Flange: Includes a classic protective inner flange to prevent your hands from slipping during intense riding.
- Sizing: Fits all standard emoto and ebike handlebars
🖨️ Recommended Print Settings
For the best functional results, do not use rigid filaments like PLA or PETG. These grips require flexible materials for proper installation and comfort.
- Filament: TPU 95A (or softer if your extruder can handle it)
- Infill: 15% – 25% (Gyroid recommended for uniform squish and impact absorption)
- Walls/Perimeters: 3 walls for durability
- Top/Bottom Layers: 4 layers
- Supports: None required if printed vertically (flange facing down on the build plate)
🔧 Installation Tips
- Clean your handlebars and throttle tube thoroughly before installing.
- Spritz a small amount of isopropyl alcohol (IPA) or hairspray inside the printed grip.
- Slide the 24mm grip onto the throttle tube and the 22mm grip onto the left bar while wet. They will lock tightly in place once dry.
Note: if your bike uses a thumb throttle you will have to print two of the handle bar side grips.
