Description
Ancient Ruins Aquarium & Terrarium Decoration
Bring an abandoned temple atmosphere to your aquarium, terrarium, diorama, or display setup with this detailed Ancient Ruins scenery piece.
The model includes stone walls, carved pillars, arched doors, brick details, hanging vines, broken surfaces, and overgrown ruin textures. It is designed to look great as a centerpiece for aquariums, reptile enclosures, plant terrariums, fantasy dioramas, tabletop scenery, or shelf decoration.
Features
- Ancient ruin / temple-style design
- Great for aquariums, terrariums, vivariums, dioramas, and display scenes
- Detailed stone blocks, arches, pillars, vines, and worn surfaces
- Looks great in grey stone filament, but can also be painted
- Nice centerpiece for natural, jungle, fantasy, or abandoned temple themes
- Works well with moss, plants, gravel, sand, rocks, or aquarium substrate
Print Settings
I printed the test model at:
- Layer height: 0.2 mm
- Supports: Some supports required
- Material: PLA for display use
- For aquarium use: make sure to use aquarium-safe filament/material and seal or prepare the print properly before placing it in water
For best detail, I recommend enabling Adaptive Layer Height. This helps the top surfaces, rounded stone details, carved areas, and vine textures look cleaner.
Recommended Use
This model can be used for:
- Aquariums
- Terrariums
- Reptile enclosures
- Plant displays
- Dioramas
- Fantasy terrain
- Tabletop scenery
- Shelf decoration
- Photo backgrounds
For aquariums, always make sure your material, paint, and any coating are safe for your fish or animals before use.
Finishing Ideas
This model looks good straight from the printer, but you can make it even better with:
- Grey stone filament
- Light dry brushing
- Green moss accents
- Sand or gravel around the base
- Aquarium plants or terrarium plants
- Weathering paint for a more ancient look
