Description

New version available: https://makerworld.com/en/models/1559257-extruder-ptfe-release-button-p1p-p1s-x1c

This attachment fixes the “Failed to pull back the filament to AMS” error.

I loved the concept behind @TheTexMech original version but I want a fan of the process used to design it or the end result. So I went ahead and designed this remix from the ground up using measurements from the original as a template.

With the “wings” to the side of the printer slide the bottom of the attachment over the top of the extruder. Rotate the higher tab to the rear so that it cannot hit the case.

Print in PETG or some other heat resistant material.

Warning: If you print a third party profile you may not be getting the latest version or the highest quality print.

This tiny little clip has singlehandedly saved my print farm. Thank you! It snaps on perfectly and has literally saved me from thousands of potentially wasted hour that my printers were idling due to being unable to feed filament to the toolhead due to some kind of internal wear caused by the ptfe relaxing too far over. I've tried a ton of other brackets that never worked. This is amazing. Thank you so much.

Tried dozens of other fixes, but this one finally fixed the issue. Nice tight snap fit ain't going nowhere now and no more issues sending filament to the toolhead!

I've used a few of these - this one doesn't break off. :-) It also seems to work, which not all of them do. Also CF-PETg - I'll update if I have issues too.

Just wanted to post a quick update, printed this awhile ago in CF-PETG was working great but seemed to wear out, the collar no longer is tight with and moves which started causing pull back errors again. Will try and print again in ASA I thought PETG would be fine guess not :-D
