1982 Ford Fairmont Custom Tail Light Lenses

These tail lights were designed as a modern recreation of the original 1982 Ford Fairmont rear lighting panels. The lenses are designed and printed as a single piece using Transparent Red filament for the lens and Black for the frame. The design preserves the Fairmont’s signature vertical segmentation and integrates seamlessly with the factory mounting points. When illuminated, the lights produce a distinct, even glow that enhances visibility and adds a subtle custom flair without compromising the vintage character of the vehicle. These lenses are a direct fit for the extremely rare OEM lenses.

I modelled the lenses so they could be split in my slicer to fit on my build plate. There is a section of black frame that splits the lens into 3 ribs on one side and 2 on the other. That is where it is meant to be cut for printing. I printed it in PETG but other higher temp filaments will also work. I glued the halves together with 2 part epoxy.

The clear diffuser on the back is a standard Flourescent light diffuser that you can buy at any hardware store, I cut it with a straight edge and a sharp box cutter and also glued it into place.
