US Army Branch Insignia Signs/Plaques

These models are replicas of the US Army Branch Insignia that is worn on the Class A uniform.  I received a couple custom requests for individual models of these, so I decided to make a collection of them to share.  These are great display items for shadow boxes, desk plaques, or wall mounting.

A hanging hole or keyhole was intentionally not provided for this model. This decision was made because the finished print, especially in a metallic silk filaments are lightweight and thin.

Here are a couple mounting ideas:

1. Double-sided mounting tape: This is ideal for secure, flat-to-wall or flat-to-shadow-box mounting.
2. Adhesive putty: Perfect for temporary or adjustable placement.
3. A few dots of all-purpose adhesive: A permanent solution for mounting inside a shadow box backer board.

Optimized Print Settings:

The included print profiles have been individually customized per model, as the geometry is different for all of them, but here are the basics.

• Nozzle Size: 0.4mm for the default scale. (If scaling down significantly, switching to a 0.2mm nozzle is highly recommended to preserve the letter structure).
• Layer Height: 0.20mm is the default in the profile, but for more detail, use 0.16mm or even 0.12mm.  This will provide more detail in all the curves in the geometry of this model.  
• Infill: It varies from 10% - 25% depending on the model.

• • Material Recommendation: The models in the photos were printed with Bambu PLA Basic Gold, but I imagine that they would look great in a PLA Silk in Gold.
