Description

Zodiac Sign – Leo | Celestial Lion Sculpture

Celebrate the confident and courageous spirit of Leo, the zodiac sign for those born between July 23 and August 22, with this detailed celestial lion sculpture. Featuring a majestic lion, flowing decorative elements, and the Leo zodiac symbol, it makes an eye catching display piece or a thoughtful birthday gift for anyone born under this bold and loyal fire sign.

Filament Used:

Afterglow - Multicolor Matte PLA - Ziro: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D78F2FYT?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_4&th=1

Printing

  • Use a clean print plate with some glue (unless you are using a super tack plate)
  • Use dried out filament
    • (Different filament types impact the print differently, please adjust your settings accordingly. If printing with silk PLA, then I recommend to adjust the Speed Outer wall setting to 40mm/s and Tope Surface to 40mm/s.

Support Removal:

  1. Gently break the support off starting at the middle by breaking (crushing) the support in the middle.
  2. Avoid pulling firmly on the delicate cutout sections. Work slowly and remove the supports in small pieces.
  3. Move to the top and remove the support.
  4. Remove the remaining support from the bottom.

Light sanding and gentle, controlled heat may be needed to clean up areas where the supports were attached on the backside. I used a handheld mini torch, but apply heat carefully to avoid warping or damaging the print.
