Description
New Project! đ
I have designed this Portable PECS Visual Schedule to support children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), cognitive difficulties, and special communication needs.
The goal is to offer a practical, portable, and easy-to-use tool that helps children understand daily activities, reduce anxiety, and increase their independence.
â Main Features
â New integrated PECS storage compartment
At the top, there is a spacious compartment with an openable lid that allows numerous PECS cards to be stored directly inside the schedule, so they can always be carried wherever you go.
â 4 front slots for PECS
The front part features 4 dedicated slots that allow for the creation of a timeline or a simple sentence strip, helping the child clearly understand the sequence of activities to be performed.
â Innovative sliding cover
One of the features that makes this project truly unique is the sliding cover.
Each time an activity is completed, simply slide the cover to conceal the just-completed PECS card, leaving only those yet to be done visible.
At the end of the routine, the cover will fully conceal all PECS cards, providing clear visual feedback that indicates the completion of all activities.
This simple system helps the child to:
⢠Reduce anxiety
⢠Better understand routines and the chronological sequence of activities
⢠Increase independence
⢠Maintain focus on the next activity
⢠Immediately visualize completed activities
Ideal for
⢠Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
⢠Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
⢠PECS users
⢠Speech-language pathologists
⢠Occupational therapists
⢠Educators and special education teachers
⢠Parents and caregivers
⢠Schools and specialized centers
⢠Home routines and therapeutic pathways
I truly hope this project will be useful to many families, teachers, and professionals.
