Customizable Text Stamp: Clay, Soap, Leather, Ink

Make your own text stamp for clay, soap, leather, play dough, fondant, and

normal ink-pad stamping. Up to three lines of custom text, round or rectangular

head, emboss or deboss, optional border, and a comfortable twist-lock handle.

Type your text and print a personal stamp. The rigid PETG/PLA version presses

crisp, readable impressions into polymer clay, air-dry clay, soap, soft

leather, play dough, fondant, and similar soft materials. For normal ink-pad

stamping, a tested option is to split the stamp face in the slicer and print

the actual raised letters/rim in TPU, with the base and handle in PETG, so the

letters flex slightly like a softer stamp face.

Features:

- Up to three lines of text, automatically centered.

- Mirrored text by default, so the stamped impression reads correctly. Turn

  mirroring off to print a readable display plaque instead.

- Two impression styles: "raised" presses your text INTO the material

  (debossed impression), "recessed" leaves your text standing proud

  (embossed impression).

- Round or rectangular head with adjustable size and optional border ring -

  the border stamps a clean frame around your text.

- Adjustable text depth (0.8-3 mm) for shallow or deep impressions.

- Comfortable mushroom handle with a bayonet twist-lock: insert into the

  head back and twist clockwise to a firm stop. The locked handle cannot

  pull off, even when lifting the stamp out of sticky clay. Print one handle

  and many heads: name stamps, date stamps, logo text, gift tags.

- Tested TPU-face workflow: print the raised letters/rim in TPU and the base +

  handle in PETG for a softer face that also works better as a normal ink-pad

  stamp.

- Console warning if your text is too wide for the chosen head size.

- Both parts print flat with no supports.

The model checks your text width against the head size and prints a note in

the customizer console if a line will not fit.

Note: rigid PLA/PETG stamp faces are best for clay, soap, leather, dough, and

other soft materials. For normal ink-pad stamping on paper, the tested TPU-face

workflow gives a more forgiving contact surface than a hard FDM face. Results

still depend on ink pad, paper, layer height, and surface finish, so test first.

Custom Fonts:

You can use any font MakerWorld has installed , type it into font_name as "Family:style=Style".

Stick to Bold styles thin strokes don't stamp well and can be fragile.

Customization Notes

- line_1 / line_2 / line_3: your text; leave lines empty to use fewer lines.

- font_name: keep the default Liberation Sans Bold for reliable width

  warnings; other bold fonts work, but check the preview.

- mirror_text: leave ON for stamping. Turn off only for display plaques.

- text_style: "raised" = pressed-in (debossed) impression, "recessed" =

  raised (embossed) impression.

- text_depth: 1.5 mm default; use 2-3 mm for soft doughs, 1-1.5 mm for firm

  clay and leather.

- head_shape / head_diameter / head_width / head_height: face size. Bigger

  faces fit longer text.

- border_enabled / border_width / border_inset: frame ring around the text.

- border_depth: rim height, independent of text_depth. Match text_depth for

  a classic one-level stamp, or make the rim taller than the text so it

  contains the material and controls impression depth like a cookie-cutter

  frame - useful for wax-seal-style stamps and uniform clay medallions.

- fit_clearance: twist-lock clearance. Increase by 0.05-0.1 if the handle

  is hard to insert or twist; decrease toward 0.05 for a tighter lock.

- part: "all" prints both pieces; "head" alone for extra stamp faces for a

  handle you already printed; "fit_preview" is preview-only - do not print.
