Brian May's Red Special guitar has been one of the most requested guitars I have received. I am pleased to announce I have finally made this special request come to life. I have updated my ironing settings. Getting closer to perfection, this model also features my latest model updates with easier to install tuning pegs. They not longer will be going through little tiny holes, instead they are just little nubs used to center and allow ease of install.
For best results I recommend playing Queen - Fat bottom girls, or We will rock you as you complete the model. Just super glue and patience is needed. As well if you wish to add strings, 0.25mm fishing wire is what I use. There is a whole video I made near the bottom that demonstrates how to add the strings.
Sir Brian Harold May is an iconic English musician, songwriter, and astrophysicist, best known as the lead guitarist and co-founder of the legendary rock band Queen. Alongside frontman Freddie Mercury and drummer Roger Taylor, May shaped the landscape of rock music with his highly distinct guitar layerings and vocal harmonies.

🎸 Musical Career & The Red Special
- Queen Co-founder: He formed Queen in 1970. He penned some of the band's most massive global anthems, including "We Will Rock You", "Fat Bottomed Girls", "I Want It All", and "The Show Must Go On".
- The "Red Special": May famously plays an electric guitar called the Red Special, which he hand-built with his father in the early 1960s using wood from an old fireplace mantelpiece.
- Signature Tone: He creates his distinctively warm, driving sound by using a vintage Vox AC30 amplifier, a treble booster, and a British sixpence coin as a pick instead of a traditional plastic plectrum.
In order to pay tribute to Brian May's legendary use of the British Six Pence coin as a guitar pick I made a guitar stand shaped like one of his commemorative coins with a display stand to hold the Red Special guitar. The stand for this model can be found here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/3017358-brian-may-coin-model-guitar-stand#profileId-3389632

For best results. I recommend using a High Flow nozzle (I use 0.4mm HF). And a supertack cool build plate from Bambu or Biqu. These are what I recommend for best adhesion and best speed.
I have made a general video describing my many techniques of making these guitar models. I use mostly just super glue, flat file, sand paper and a select size of drill bits to build them. And I use 0.25mm fishing line to add the strings to the model. I go over this in fine detail, just follow the link below for more:
