Bill of Materials
Description
Bring the myth to your ears. Following Hugin, this raven skull earweight combines an edgy, organic aesthetic with a striking, heavy look.
To ensure a flawless, failure-free printing experience, the model has been split into separate components with connectors. No more wobbling, tipping over, or failed prints due to top-heavy organic shapes!
🛠️ Technical Features & Plate Organization
100% Print Optimization: The skull and hanger are now split and print flat/stabilized to completely eliminate the risk of the model tipping over during high-speed printing.
Smart Sequential Printing (No Prime Tower!): The "All-in-One" plate is fully optimized to print by object (sequentially). This means each part is completed one after the other. As a result, a prime tower (Reinigungsturm) is completely eliminated, saving you filament, time, and reducing waste!
- Smart Build Plates (Conveniently Organized):
- Plate 1 (All-in-One / Sequential): Contains all parts arranged to print sequentially on a single plate with NO prime tower.
- Plate 2 (Hanger Only): Just the hanger components.
Plate 3 (Skull Only): Just the raven skull components.
Precision Connectors: Features tight-tolerance alignment pins/connectors for easy assembly. A small drop of superglue or epoxy secures the parts permanently.
0.08mm + Variable Layer Height: The provided .3mf files are pre-configured with a 0.08 mm base layer height and activated adaptive (variable) layering. This captures the ultra-fine, smooth details on the skull's organic curves while eliminating the "staircase" effect. It looks and feels almost like a resin print!
- Tested Quality: Fully tested, redesigned, and optimized on Bambu Lab hardware for maximum reliability.
🖨️ Print Settings & Custom Weight Tips (Pre-configured in the .3mf)
- Print Order: Set to "By Object" on Plate 1 (pre-configured). Ensure your toolhead clearance is clear.
- Base Layer Height: 0.08 mm (with Adaptive/Variable Layer Height enabled)
- Infill Recommendation: Since this is an Earweight, I highly recommend increasing the infill (e.g., 50% to 80% Gyroid) or using a heavy filament (like metal-filled PLA) to achieve that satisfying, heavy drop.
- Filament Choice: Looks incredible in Matte Black, Deep Blue, or Silk Gold/Silver for a metallic, ancient look.
⚠️ Important Notice Regarding 3D-Printed Jewelry
Since FDM prints have microscopic ridges where bacteria can accumulate, I recommend wearing these weights only in fully healed piercings. For long-term wear or sensitive skin, it is advisable to coat the wearable contact area after printing with a skin-safe, food-grade epoxy resin or jewelry-safe clear coat. Alternatively, biocompatible filaments or PETG are better suited than standard PLA.
