1984 Ghostbusters PKE (Psychokinetic Energy) Meter

This is a replica of the 1984 version of the PKE prop seen in movie Ghostbusters 1 and 2. Modelled off the Iona SP-1B Shoe Polisher.
The PKE Meter was also used as a generic scanning tool in the movie They Live, I Come in Peace / Dark Angel and Suburban Commando

I originally created V1 of this prop back in early 2023. Fully remodelling it in mid 2024 to create a more screen accurate V2 for an event I attended in late 2024. After speaking with someone who owns a genuine Ghostbusters ECTO 1 I have finally gotten around to finishing V3 and releasing the print files.

This is the closest I could make the prop without getting my hands on an original PKE or Iona SP-1B. Reference material is relatively difficult to come by as only 2 PKE meters were ever made by Modern Props, SP-001 and SP-002. This PKE was recreated in every minor detail all the way down to the chicken scratch SP-001 prop number etched onto the bottom of the genuine prop.

The electronics inside my copy of this prop differ from the original as we can now make use of modern electronics. I am by no means an expert in circuitry. However, I have also included a empty shell with no stand-off posts that can be used to fit other electronics if required. Some modification may be required to fit a potentiometer to the rear index wheel.

There are a number of different versions for printing, ensure you pair the correct front and back body and handle.

Split Versions;
A - Posts and battery holder with bulkhead plate
B - Gutted interior with bulkhead plate
C - Posts and battery holder without bulkhead plate
D - Gutted interior without bulkhead plate
