Heating Oil Tank Filling Seal

The original filling nozzle seal of my heating oil tank was leaking. It had hardened and was neither dimensionally stable nor flexible.

Since TPU is oil-resistant, I decided to create my own design.
The printing / installation went as desired and everything is sealed again.

The tank has since been filled 3 times and the seal holds during the filling process without problems.

Once again, a quick and cost-effective repair thanks to 3D printing :-)

Important:

Interventions on heating oil filling systems are associated with considerable risks. If work is not carried out professionally, leaks can occur when filling the heating oil tank, and in the worst case, large quantities of heating oil can escape. This can cause significant damage to the building and the environment.

Every person is responsible for the work carried out. Therefore, the seal should only be replaced by qualified personnel.

• The print bed must be clean and free of grease and other dirt. Ensure adequate bed adhesion.
• The printer and the filament used should be correctly calibrated to avoid printing errors.
• The print quality depends on the settings, the filament, and the condition of the printer. Therefore, I cannot guarantee a perfect print result.
