LiPo Hardcase for RC Car (Ovonic 3S 5200mAh)

What is this?
A robust PETG hardcase that securely encloses your 3S LiPo battery (suitable for Ovonic 5200mAh
130C) in your RC car – with soft padding so the battery sits firmly
and doesn't wobble around. The padding gives you enough play to use other batteries as well, but it's best to check for yourself, as I haven't tested that.

The Story Behind It
For me, the Ovonic 5200mAh LiPos are simply unbeatable in terms of price-performance
ratio – good punch for the money. But one thought never quite
left me while driving: What if a stone splashes up and hits the battery exactly? LiPo cells
are sensitive to impacts and crushing, and in the worst case, a
damaged cell can start to burn. With unprotected installation, it was simply too
risky for me.

So I thought: If something like this isn't available ready-made, I'll print it myself.
The result was this hardcase, which protects the battery all around and, thanks to the padding,
still stays neatly in place.

- Material: PETG – impact-resistant and heat-resistant, just right for use near the motor
- Suitable for: Ovonic 3S 5200mAh 130C LiPo (57.72Wh)
- Padding: Foam from the original packaging of the Ovonic LiPo (saves material and waste!)
- With lid for secure closing

Safety Note
The case provides additional mechanical protection but does not replace proper
LiPo handling. Always charge on a fire-resistant surface, never leave unattended
and regularly check the battery for damage such as swelling or dents.

Printed with
Bambu Lab PETG HF – ideal for this case due to its impact resistance and
clean print quality. PETG-CF also works, but it's not compatible with all printers and is overkill. I have linked my favorite filaments for you below.
