Description

Interlocking Roof Tile – Weatherproof & Reinforced

A printable roof tile designed for real outdoor use — perfect for sheds, chicken coops, dog houses, mailboxes, bin shelters, or any small structure that needs a proper roof.

Features

  • Interlocking design — tiles overlap on the sides and bottom edge to shed water and keep the layout tidy across the whole roof
  • Ridged profile — channels rainwater downward like traditional corrugated tiles and adds stiffness
  • Countersunk screw holes — fasten each tile directly to your roof battens; holes sit under the overlap of the next tile so they stay protected from rain
  • Skewer reinforcement — two holes in the model accept standard bamboo skewers. Glue them in for extra strength and rigidity, especially useful for snow loads or larger roofs

Printing

  • Material: ASA (best UV/weather resistance) or PETG. Avoid PLA.
  • Orientation: print diagonally as set up in the included print profile — this gives the best layer orientation for strength and water shedding
  • Tips: darker colors hide weathering better; a few extra perimeters add durability at little cost

Assembly

  1. Glue bamboo skewers into the two reinforcement holes (optional)
  2. Start at the bottom edge of the roof and work upward, overlapping each row, they should snap just in place

I never got around to making the corner and edge pieces. Maybe you'd like to finish them and share :D.
