Description
Rugged Storage Box for 3D Scanning Magnetic Markers (All-in-One)
This is a complete, rugged storage solution designed specifically for your 3D scanning magnet set.
Instead of a loose insert, the organizer slots are fully integrated directly into the bottom of the box, creating a solid, durable, all-in-one storage solution. It keeps your magnetic markers perfectly organized, securely in place, and protected from scratching each other.
This project is a combination and remix of two excellent designs here on MakerWorld.
Available Variants
There are two different versions available in the print profile, depending on your needs:
- With Lid Storage: Features an extra small storage box integrated into the lid. This is perfect for storing small magnetic dots, loose markers, or other tiny accessories.
- Standard Lid: A clean, solid lid without any extra compartments.
Credits & Acknowledgments
- The Box & Slots: Modified and integrated by me to perfectly hold the Magnetic Markers for 3D Scanning by @G_C_D.
- The Base Design: Based on the brilliant Rugged Storage Box (Parametric & Customizable) by @Yanev, used as the foundation for the box. (Note: This version has no seal/gasket channel).
Assembly & Hardware
To assemble the hinges and latches, you have two options included in the print profile:
- Plastic Pins (Included): 3D-printable plastic pins are included in the file and can be used immediately to assemble the box.
- M3 Screws (Recommended): While the plastic pins work fine, using standard M3 screws/metal pins is highly recommended in the long run for maximum durability.
Print Settings
- Material: PLA or PETG.
- Supports: None needed.
- Infill: 15% - 20% (Gyroid or Grid recommended).
