Description
Hexagonal Bolt Protection Cap
This cap is a practical solution for covering bolts that tend to rust outdoors.
Elegant in shape, it features important technical solutions:
- Internal thicknesses of 0.3 mm are designed to adhere perfectly to the nut; during application, they are expected to deform to adhere stably to the nut.
- Inside, there is space for about 1 cm of a protruding stud.
- No print supports are needed; the internal construction of the cap is self-supporting, which allows for greater structural strength and filament savings!
- Easy application: just align it with the bolt and press firmly.
- To make the part as homogeneous as possible, printing with variable layer height was chosen.
- The project was tested with PLA and PETG printing.
Different print profiles are available for 17mm (M22) and 13mm (M16) sizes for single printing or for 5 caps in a single print.
