Boost Me (for free)
In the future, I want to release more models for leather crafting and models that I will design together with my son.
Please support our project!
With this mold, the basic geometry for a nice knife sheath for an Opinel No8 can be created.
The naturally tanned cowhide leather should be approximately 2-3 mm thick and uncoated.
Briefly place this in warm water, then press the core under the leather and the large mold from above over the leather, and fix it to the base with clamps.
If desired, press on the decoration and let the entire clamped piece dry overnight.

After the molded piece has been produced, the remaining parts are measured, made, and punched accordingly
top left: belt loop
top right: back with flap
middle left: closure strap with embossed initials (individual)
bottom: molded piece with pattern embossing

Afterwards, dye the leather as desired, either by dabbing, brushing, dipping, or airbrushing.
Then sew the dyed parts accordingly with a saddle stitch.
Then trim the sewn piece at the edges and smooth the edges, this works best with Tokonole and an edge slicker.
Recolor the edges and done.
It doesn't take much crafting skill to create such a unique piece, you can do it too!
