🔗 Ultimate Bag Chain – The ultimate chain for your 3D printed bags!

After countless tests, trials, and prototypes, here is finally the definitive version of my modular chain for bags.

If you've already tried other printable chains, you probably know the problem: the links tend to open during use, especially when the bag swings while walking. The result? The chain can detach suddenly... and the bag ends up on the ground.

With this new project, I wanted to completely eliminate this inconvenience.

🚀 The new 45° interlock

The core of the project is an innovative 45° inclined locking system.

Unlike classic linear interlocks, this geometry leverages the forces generated during bag movement to keep the link always in position. The more the chain works, the more stable the interlock remains.

The result is a chain that is:

✔ extremely robust
✔ difficult to open accidentally
✔ secure for daily use
✔ perfect even for heavier bags

Finally, a printable chain truly designed to be used... and not just looked at.

🛠️ Super easy assembly

Each link is printed with a small "V"-shaped tab, designed to maintain perfect geometry during printing.

Once printing is finished:

1. gently remove the small V-shaped piece by applying slight pressure;
2. slightly open the interlock UNTIL YOU HEAR A “CLICK”, a very thin layer holding it in place will break;
3. insert the next link following the 45° inclination, just as shown in the images;
4. close the link.

In just a few seconds, the chain is ready.

No glue.
No screws.
No additional components.

Just print... and assemble.
