A highly versatile, fully parametric screw-top canister designed for organizing technical components, hardware, screws, or everyday items.

Whether you need a tiny pill box, a rugged hardware container, or a stylish desk organizer, you can generate the exact size and style you need directly in your browser using the MakerWorld Customizer!

 

✨ Key Features:

 

Fully Parametric: Adjust the diameter, height, and wall thickness. The script automatically calculates the perfect lid ratio, neck size, and thread geometry.

 

7 Surface Patterns: Choose from Smooth, Ribbed, Spiral, Faceted, Rings, Dots In, and a highly optimized Pineapple knurling pattern for maximum grip.

 

Custom Text Lid: Personalize your canister with custom engraved text and choose from 10 pre-loaded, 3D-print-friendly fonts (e.g., Anton, Orbitron, Bungee).

 

No Supports Required: Optimized 3D-printable threads and chamfered edges guarantee a smooth print and a perfect twist-lock fit right off the build plate.

 

🎛️ How to Customize


Click the "Customize" button on this page to open the Parametric Model Maker. Adjust the following parameters to create your perfect canister:

1. Basic Dimensions

Diameter: Outer diameter of the canister.

Total_Height: The total height of the canister when the lid is closed.

Lid_Height: How tall the lid should be (the script will automatically limit this if it exceeds physical constraints).

Wall_Thickness: The thickness of the outer walls (4mm is recommended for a sturdy, industrial feel).

2. Text Customization

Lid_Text: Type your label here (e.g., "M3 Screws", "Spare Parts"). Leave empty "" for a blank lid.

Text_Size: Adjust the font size to fit your lid.

Text_Font: Select from a dropdown menu of 10 pre-loaded fonts. Tip: "Orbitron" is great for tech gear, while "Anton" is bold and extremely easy to print.

3. Surface Customization

Surface_Style: Dropdown menu to pick your favorite texture. The Pineapple and Faceted styles are highly recommended for a premium look and better grip.

Part_to_Generate: Choose whether to export the Body, the Lid, or Both side-by-side.

4. 3D Print Settings (Fine-tuning)

Tolerance: Controls the gap between the lid and body threads. The default 0.3mm works perfectly for most Bambu Lab printers. If you find the lid too tight, increase it slightly (e.g., 0.35 or 0.4).

Chamfer: Adds an angled edge to the top and bottom to completely eliminate the elephant's foot effect.

🖨️ Recommended Print Settings
Material: PLA, PETG, ABS, or PC (PETG is highly recommended for durable hardware storage).

Layer Height: 0.2mm (or 0.16mm for smoother threads).

Walls/Perimeters: 2 to 4 walls for structural strength.

Infill: 15% - 20% Gyroid.

Supports: ❌ None required!

Brim: Not needed unless your print bed has adhesion issues.
