Description

Boost Me (for free)

Boost me for more open sources coffee tools!

The Slow Feeder Pro V1 sits on your grinder in place of the hopper and feeds beans in gradually instead of all at once. A small battery powered motor turns a feeder disc, and an adjustable knob sets how fast the beans drop, down to nearly one bean at a time. The payoff is a more even grind, fewer fines, and clearer flavor.

This is the open-source version. We designed it to be built, not just bought. If you own a 3D printer, the files are right here, for free.

The printed parts are only half of it. The full build guide covers the complete parts list, the small electronic components you will need to source, and the step by step assembly.

We send it out for free. Subscribe here and it lands in your inbox:

Grinder compatibility

The slow feeder body is universal. What changes per grinder is the adapter that connects it to your grinder opening. Two editable template files are included as STEP files, so you can size them to your own grinder:

  • Outside-fit template: sits around the outside of the grinder opening
  • Inside-fit template: drops into the grinder opening

Open the one that suits your grinder in your CAD software, adjust it to your dimensions, and print.

Rather not model it yourself? You can order a grinder adapter from us that fits your grinder directly: https://cremaloop.com/products/electric-slow-feeder-custom-order

Rather not print and source it?

No problem, that is not for everyone. If you would like the electronics matched to your grinder in one box, the kit is here, and you still print the body yourself: https://cremaloop.com/products/slow-feeder-pro-v1-kit

Safety. This is a do-it-yourself electronics build with batteries, a motor and wiring. Assemble and use it with care, keep it away from liquids, do not leave it running unattended, and disconnect the batteries when servicing it or when it is not in use. Keep small parts away from children.

Support. Because the Slow Feeder Pro V1 is a free, open-source, self-build project, we are not able to offer much individual support on builds. This guide and the assembly video together cover the full process. For questions about our products or kits, visit cremaloop.com.
