The Gazer in the Gates

Description
When the fracture split the sky, the city didn't just break—it began to think in a twisted, horrific language.
The alleyway containing the private archive of Brother Kaelen’s monastery was crowded with fleeing scholars, acolytes, and panicked citizens when the first wave of thick, purple fog rolled through. Instead of suffocating them, the volatile magical energy fused their physical bodies, their desperate panic, and their final, wide-eyed moments of terror directly into the stone walls they were trying to escape.
Over weeks of continuous exposure to the Breach, this mass of flesh didn't die; it reorganized. The masonry and the meat became one. The stone pillars sprouted rooting tendrils, and the collective panic of a hundred dying souls manifested as a cluster of weeping, blinking eyes that scan the fog. It can no longer move, but it has become an apex predator of the ruins, luring in unsuspecting scavengers and adding their mass to its ever-growing form.
