Rear ABS/Speed Sensor Hole Plug - BMW R1200 / R1250 GS
Doing some maintenance on your GS and need to pull off the rear wheel or the ABS sensor? Stop worrying about dirt, dust, or grease falling into the empty sensor housing! This 3D-printed plug is the perfect garage companion.
Specially designed for the rear speed/ABS sensor seat of the BMW R1200 GS and R1250 GS, this tool keeps the housing perfectly clean while you work on your bike.
Project Features:
- Compatibility: BMW R1200GS / R1250GS.
- Recommended Material: PETG or ASA (for excellent resistance to workshop chemicals, oils, and degreasers).
- Additional Hardware Needed: 1x O-Ring with Id: 7.10mm and 1.8mm cross-section (thickness) to ensure a snug and reliable fit.
Print & Slicing Settings:
- Material: PETG (highly recommended for its durability and chemical resistance).
- Layer Height: 0.16mm or 0.20mm for accurate tolerances on the O-ring groove.
- Walls/Perimeters: 3 or 4 walls for extra durability during repeated insertion and removal.
- Supports: YES, supports are required. I recommend using Tree Supports (slim or auto) for easy removal without ruining the surface finish or the O-ring seat
- Brim: Highly recommended (Outer Brim only, 3-5mm width) to ensure perfect bed adhesion and prevent any warping, especially when printing with PETG or ASA.
