Description
A refillable fertilizer spike for garden beds, raised beds, and potted plants. Fill the perforated tube with granular or slow-release fertilizer, screw on the threaded cap, and drive it into the soil near the root zone. Nutrients leach out through the side ports with each watering, so you reload it instead of buying disposable spikes.
I personally use it on my outdoor fruit trees (pear, apple, peach).
Print settings (as configured)
- Material: PETG or ASA recommended (see note). PLA shown.
- Layer height: 0.20 mm
- Walls: 2 perimeters
- Top/bottom shells: 5 / 3
- Infill: 15% grid
- Supports: none — print cap-end down, tip up
- Printer: Bambu Lab P1S, 0.4 mm nozzle
Material note: PLA works for a season but breaks down in wet soil over time. For spikes that stay buried long-term, print in PETG or ASA for moisture and UV resistance.
Notes
- Cap threads are printed — clear them with a quick test-thread before first use.
- Drive into pre-watered (softer) soil to avoid splitting the tip.
Printed on a Bambu Lab P1S. Feedback welcome.
