Description

Midea Portasplit Window Adapter – Guide Rail Mount for External Blinds

This adapter is designed to be inserted directly into the guide rails of external blinds (Raffstore). It acts as a spacer element that fills the open section of the rail while providing precise cutouts for both the mounting bracket of the outdoor unit and the connecting hose.

This allows the window to be closed as much as possible while still accommodating the required components of the Midea Portasplit system.

The full assembly has a total width of 120 cm and is split into 5 interlocking parts. The largest segment is just over 40 cm long, while the remaining parts are each slightly over 20 cm. This modular design makes printing easier on smaller printers and also allows individual parts to be replaced or adjusted to achieve different overall widths.

If your printer has a smaller build volume, the large 40 cm segment can be split into smaller parts. However, since this piece includes a large cutout, dividing it further may reduce its structural stability. It should still work without issues, but if your printer allows it, printing this part as a single piece is recommended.

All parts are 16 cm in height and 14 mm thick. The thickness ensures sufficient stability, especially for the interlocking connections. Reducing it is not recommended, as it may compromise strength and part integrity.

Before printing, it is strongly recommended to measure your specific setup and adjust the model accordingly. This can be done quite easily in Bambu Studio.

The parts are connected using dovetail joints. If you plan to modify or extend the design, the connectors use a width and depth of 5 mm, an angle of 80°, and a clearance of 0.3 mm.

This design was inspired by a similar concept from another model. However, it was completely redesigned from scratch to match different dimensions and requirements, as the original did not fit my setup.
