Description

We ran out of our tint shanks in the shop one day, so instead of waiting on replacements, we designed and printed our own. After a few revisions, this version has become our go-to.

It's thin enough to flex when needed, but still rigid enough to help tuck window tint into tight seals and weatherstripping without feeling flimsy.

Features

  • ✅ Prints flat on the bed
  • ✅ No supports required
  • ✅ Fast print
  • ✅ Flexible but durable design
  • ✅ Comfortable grip with DIY Wrap Club branding

Print Recommendations

Because the tool is long and thin, enable a brim to improve bed adhesion. Other than that, it should print cleanly without any issues.

Recommended settings:

  • Material: PLA (PETG also works)
  • Layer Height: 0.20 mm
  • Walls: 3+
  • Infill: 100% (or at least 50% Gyroid)
  • Brim: Recommended

What It's Used For

This tool is designed for automotive window tint installation and works well for:

  • Tucking film behind weatherstripping
  • Working film into tight corners
  • Reaching narrow gaps without scratching surfaces

If you print one, I'd love to see it in action. Upload your make!
