Boost Me (for free)

Enjoyed my design? Gimme a boost to help me create more cool stuff like this! 🚀 👓✨

Hey guys! :)

Are you looking for a cool print to level up your Victorian/Steampunk costumes? Do you wish to bring a little bit of your “Maker” personality to your RP character for DnDs, renfaires, and festivals? Well, then this one is especially for you! :D

This model is very close to my heart. :)) Not only did I LOVE creating it and fusing every aesthetic I enjoy into one model, but now I can cosplay as like.. myself? But like a cooler version of myself in a fantasy setting? YES. 💅🏼✨

📌What do you need to know? (Before printing)

  • This is a multipart design, with two separate frame looks that you can choose between. One of the frames has a clean/industrial steampunk look, and the other has a more ornate Victorian look with foliage patterns. Both frames are included in the design profile on separate plates.

  • I designed the assembly first for compatibility with laser-cut 3 mm PMMA (acrylic) lenses, but then I decided to make it more accessible to everyone by including an FDM-printable version of the lenses. So you can print this full design even without laser cutting.

  • Just keep in mind that the FDM version is mostly a prop for wearing overhead, since I personally couldn't see anything behind the printed lenses. :D

  • Also, these goggles are gigantic by design. :D Please don't scale them up or down, by doing that the assembly won't be possible anymore.

📌What about additional components?

  • I put the DXF file for the laser-cut acrylic lenses in this model if you'd like to cut your own see-through lenses. You can find them under the “Download STL/CAD files” section.
  • For the forehead lights, I used mini battery-powered LEDs of 10x15 mm (Dxh). You can see an example here.

  • Although I didn't include them yet in my versions, the movable mechanical assembly on the side is there to integrate a magnifying lens with a diameter of 20 mm into your glasses if you want. You can see an example here.

📌Print notes:

  • Since this design has several print plates and objects with various settings, I suggest you open the 3MF directly in Bambu Studio and check out the requirements for each group of objects.

📌Post-printing and assembly:

  • This design requires only minimal support, and most of the clean-up is for the brims (since there are quite a few small and separate components). However, there is a small “bridge” that you'll need to clean up before the assembly. Push it open with a hot or sharp tool to have access to the back of your LED and printed insert, so you can push them out from behind if needed.

  • After cleaning, assembling the goggles is quite straightforward. You won't need any glue or additional joining components. Here are some additional guides.

I really like that you enjoy this design as much as I did, and happy printing! :) 🥂✨

If you really loved my work, you can always get me a coffee :)
