Description
Make needle changing on your sewing machine easier!
This small tool increases leverage when loosening and tightening the needle screw. Perfect for anyone who needs a little more grip and, like me, can't manage with the original screw aid.
It was originally designed precisely for the shape of the Bernina 570 QE needle screw. However, it is very likely that it will also fit many other Bernina models with screws of similar construction. I took a picture of my screw; if yours looks the same and also has an outer diameter of about 9mm, then the wrench will definitely fit yours too. Feel free to try it out and leave a comment on which model it worked for!
⚠️ Important note: Always use the tool with care! Due to the increased leverage, the screw can be tightened very easily – never overtighten it to avoid damaging the sewing machine's thread. Hand-tight is completely sufficient.
⚙️ Print Settings
The model is extremely easy to print and requires no supports.
Tested on: Bambu Lab P1S
Filament: Bambu PLA Basic
Settings: Standard Profile (e.g. 0.20mm Standard)
Infill: Min. 15% (for good lever stability)
Note: I have optimized this tool for my setup. When using other printers, materials (e.g., PETG due to different shrinkage behavior), or uncalibrated flows, I cannot 100% guarantee a perfectly fitting "snap". If it's too tight, simply scale the model up by 1–2% in the slicer.
