D6x2 mm Round Magnet (20PCS) - CA004

Description

This Evil Puzzle will keep you busy for many many hours!

Simply place the four puzzle pieces within the available space.

Sounds pretty easy, doesn't it?

With both an easy and a hard option, no matter your ability, you should find some enjoyment and satisfaction with this small puzzle.

The folding clamshell puzzle can happily hold all four of the pieces even if you've not managed to complete the puzzle, so is perfect to pop in your pocket, bag or keep on your desk.

Printing and assembly advice:

Each part can be printed in one piece, without the need for supports.

The hinge uses a length of filament to fasten the two sides together, with the two hinge pins capping off each side. You may need a little CA glue to keep them in place.

The magnets required are 6x2mm - the same used by Gridfinity
These are readily available on Amazon/eBay/Ali Express.

Don't forget to post pictures of your makes!
Please try to keep them spoiler-free if you've figured out the solutions!

I solved the medium puzzle - half easy and half hard.

Has anybody noticed that nobody seems to have solved the hard side of this? Everybody says that they can't beat the hard side, and the only images of people solving it online have the pieces (spoiler warning if this is the actual solution and you have not solved it already, I read the description and am sorry about this) at a wierd askew angle. I don't know if this is just how it's supposed to be solved or what.

I programmed this and found 0 valid solution. I guess you are right it has to be skewed. what a shame.

Plenty of people have solved the hard side. They just aren't ruining it by posting the solution.

It's been taking me a long time to solve it... I feel like this could totally be a troll with no solution—it's that hard!

They both have a solution - I LOATH junk prints/plastic waste - and wouldnt dream of putting out a troll puzzle with no solution! Hard may require some lateral thinking...

My dad actually figured out both solutions, and wow those were super difficult! The solution to the hard one was pretty unique!

Had a play with a wee inset and some wood grain modifiers and it came out nicely - puzzle is frustrating!

Cheers - only had my printer for a few weeks! Actually noticed the Easy side was smoother then the hard side as I had the fizzy skin setting set differently. My Mum won't notice but fixed now! I was going to post the profile/project but wasn't sure if it's a print profile thing or a remix?!

it's a hinge, you cut a piece of filament and stick it inside the hole after aligning the two parts

another question, do they pieces have a right side up? I would assume the textured side would be the bottom or does it not matter?

perfect print, looks great! - hinge and magnetic closure work as designed. thanks for sharing!! @hairyfacedhoom Question on solving — do the pieces need to stay “face up”, or is it fair to flip them around front/back to find the solution?

Great puzzle, took me a lot of time to find the solution for the hard side. Print quality is perfect, the hinge works great and the pieces fit nicely.

Okay... puzzle of evil... it sure is. I mean, there are just 4 tiles, how difficult can this be? How? How???.... I printed it with glow in the dark colors for the back. Looks awesome when it gets a little darker in the room. Now, I just need a little more time to solve it.
