North American T-28 Trojan – Plane KitCard

The North American T-28 Trojan was developed as the successor to the legendary T-6 Texan and became one of the most important military trainer aircraft of the Cold War era. More powerful, faster, and more advanced than its predecessor, the Trojan trained thousands of pilots before they transitioned to frontline fighter aircraft.

This KitCard version is designed in the same scale as the T-6 Texan KitCard (approximately 1:50 scale), making them perfect companion pieces for display. Together they represent two generations of military flight training and showcase the evolution of military aviation from WWII into the early Cold War period.

Like the rest of the warbird collection, the T-28 Trojan shares the same scale and design philosophy, allowing it to fit naturally alongside your other historic aircraft.

Features

  • Flat KitCard design
  • Support-free, snap-fit assembly
  • Optimized for clean FDM printing
  • Approximately 1:50 scale
  • Same scale as the T-6 Texan and other warbirds
  • Ideal for display or desk-friendly aviation collections

Fun facts about the T-28 Trojan

  • Developed as the direct replacement for the famous T-6 Texan
  • Powered by a 1,425 horsepower Wright R-1820 radial engine
  • Used by both the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy
  • Served as both a trainer and a light attack aircraft
  • Remained in military service around the world for decades
  • Nicknamed “The Pilot Maker” by many aviators due to its role in training generations of military pilots

Whether displayed on its own or paired with the T-6 Texan, the T-28 Trojan KitCard brings an important chapter of military aviation history to your collection.

Perfect for aviation enthusiasts, KitCard collectors, and anyone who enjoys building iconic aircraft in a clean, compact format.
