This is not just a simple text model.
The parametric system rebuilds the sign based on your input:
- Text spacing is adjusted automatically
- Base length adapts to the text
- Structure stays balanced
- Geometry remains clean for printing
Each personalized sign becomes a unique version of the design.
📏Here is a quick breakdown of all the parameters in the script, organized by their categories:
1. Global Settings
- Scale_factor: Multiplies the overall size of the entire model (e.g., 2 makes it twice as big).
- Center_Z_axis: If true, floats the model in mid-air (useful for viewing). Keep false for 3D printing so it sits flat on the bed.
2. Font Selection
- Selected_Font: Chooses the font style for your text.
3. Bold Settings
- Bold_Text: Turns on/off a thickening effect for the text.
- Bold_thickness: Controls how much extra thickness is added when Bold is turned on.
4. Main Text Settings
- Your_name: The actual word, name, or phrase you want to display.
- Font_size: The 2D visual size of the main text.
- Text_height: The 3D physical thickness (height) of the main text letters.
5. Backplate Settings
- Back_height: The 3D thickness of the solid base that holds the sign together.
- Border_size: Adds an extra solid outline/padding around the main text on the backplate.
6. Underline Options
- Show_underline: Toggles a decorative line underneath the main text.
- Underline_thickness: How thick the underline bar is.
- Underline_Gap: The empty vertical space between the bottom of the letters and the underline.
- Underline_extension: How far the underline sticks out past the left and right edges of the text.
7. Background Text Options
- Show_background_text: Toggles a large background letter or word (like a watermark behind the main text).
- Bg_text: The specific letter or word for the background (e.g., the first letter of a name).
- Bg_size: The visual size of the background text (usually much larger than the main text).
- Big_letter_height: The 3D thickness of the background text. Set to 0 to make it flat against the backplate.
- Bg_xy_space: Adds a thick outline/padding around the background text to make it chunkier.
- Bg_x_offset / Bg_y_offset: Moves the background text left/right and up/down to position it perfectly behind the main text.
8. Color Options
- Back_color: Sets the color for the base/backplate, the border, and the large background letter.
- Text_color: Sets the color for the main text and the underline.
