Overview
After a significant amount of requests across Reddit, Facebook, and MakerWorld, I am finally making this design public. This is a rugged, highly optimized structural mounting arm engineered to solve multi-material routing headaches by combining a dedicated TPU feeding module and a PTFE hub into a single, seamless, rigid setup.
This design was heavily inspired by the work of raladic. It is engineered specifically to bridge the gap between two excellent community designs, ensuring a flawless path for your filament without friction or snagging.
Compatibility
This module is engineered for a precise fit with the following systems:
- AMS Mount: Fully compatible with the AMS Flipper - better access to your P1S/X1/P2S by Jakob_K_Design.
- TPU Module: Designed to house the TPU Feed Assist - Modern Casing by dedge.
Features
- STEP File Included: The original CAD .step file is provided to ensure maximum dimensional accuracy and to allow for easy community modifications or custom remixes.
- Integrated PTFE Routing: Form-fitting channels to secure your PTFE splitters and hubs precisely, maintaining a natural, smooth bend radius.
- Weight-Optimized Geometry: Strategic cutouts maximize structural rigidity and eliminate sag while minimizing material consumption and print time.
Print Profiles & Slicer Optimization
To make this as plug-and-play as possible, I have uploaded multiple fully optimized print profiles tailored to different environments and hardware configurations:
- Material Variations: Dedicated profiles for ASA, PETG, and PLA, pre-configured for optimal cooling, volumetric flow, and layer adhesion.
- Support Options: Each material variant includes separate profiles configured for standard support material or specialized interface supports, ensuring clean overhang surfaces and easy removal right off the build plate.
