Summary

Want a realistic and highly detailed model of the iconic ninja-style Hellfire with fold out blades?  This is a scale model of a real missile -- it is the body of a hellfire missile, but instead of an explosive filler, it uses 6 fold out blades.  This model even lets you fold the blades in and out.

Background: The Hellfire R9X is a modified, warhead-less variant of the standard air-to-surface Hellfire missile. Instead of an explosive payload, it utilizes kinetic energy and a ring of six heavy, razor-sharp blades that deploy just seconds before impact to eliminate specific targets. This unique "ninja" design was specifically engineered to allow the U.S. military and CIA to conduct targeted strikes in densely populated urban areas with far less collateral damage.

Bambu filaments used

  • Basic Sunflower Yellow
  • Silk+ Silver
  • Polymaker Metallic Chrome (Amazon link)
    • Closest Bambu filament would be either Metal Iron Gray or Matte Nardo Gray

Assembly is super easy

1. Connect the body segments together with the provided pegs, like you see below.

2. Then snap each of the 6 fins on with the curvy part facing down.  It helps to insert them at an angle like you see below.

Boost Me (for free)

If you enjoy my work and would like to help support my ability to share more (and even better) models in the future, please consider boosting or buying me a coffee at the link below.   Your support is what helps me have enough filament and supplies to do all the print testing required for my models to be high quality and easy to assemble.  It takes a mountain of test prints for each model. Thanks :-)

Here's a link to my Buy Me a Coffee page, thanks for the support!
