🎲 Active Play Exercise Die & Action Rings Set

Turn exercise into a fun, interactive game for kids! This 3D-printable set features a large, multi-color action die paired with movement rings. Perfect for backyard play, physical education, or rainy-day living room obstacle courses.

 

The 5-Face Layout (No Support Mess): I designed the bottom face of this die completely flat so it prints easily with zero support structures and you don’t have to worry about cleaning up a messy, scarred surface on the bottom.

 

The 5 Actions Included: The die features five high-energy movements: Hop, Run, Crawl, Scuttle, and Balance

 

Print as many rings as you want: The movement rings are separate pieces, so you can print a handful for a small living room setup or a massive batch of 10 to 12 rings to span across a whole backyard lawn.

 

Scale it to fit your needs: You can easily scale the die up or down in your slicer depending on how much filament you want to use or how fast you want it to print. Just make sure to scale it uniformly so the shapes stay perfect! (Note: If you plan on printing the storage tray caddy, keep the die at the default 80mm size to ensure it fits the central slot).

🧵 Material & Strength Recommendations

To make sure this set survives heavy play, choosing the right material for your environment makes a huge difference:

  • The Action Rings (Use PETG): I highly recommend printing the rings in PETG. They are going to get stepped on, hopped over, and flexed against the ground. PETG gives them the perfect amount of impact resistance and durability so they don't snap under pressure.
  • The Action Die (PLA vs. PETG): 

     For Grass/Soft Surfaces: I printed my die using PLA, which works beautifully if you are primarily playing outdoors on lawn or carpeted areas.

    For Concrete/Hard Floors: If your kids will be rolling this on driveways, garage floors, or hardwood, print the die in PETG instead. To ensure it handles high-impact drops on hard surfaces, be sure to increase your wall loop count in the slicer to add extra structural strength!
