This back panel is designed to attach the BOSCH GAL 18V-160 charger to an openGrid wall. As with all my models, I once again took special care to find the optimal balance between stability and the required resources (amount of filament, print time, etc.) so that no more than necessary is used. This version of the model is strong enough to hold the large ProCORE 18V 12Ah battery.

Another important point: the mounting panel does not obstruct air circulation to prevent heat accumulation.

The print profile includes 3 versions of this model:

  • landscape orientation
  • portrait orientation
  • both orientations in one

The “both orientations in one” version is especially recommended if you’re not quite sure yet whether you want to hang the charger vertically or horizontally.

To ensure the charger’s cable can be routed optimally, there are also small hooks where the cable can be clipped in place.

Recommendations for printing:

  • You will find recommended printer settings within my print profile
  • The design of the model allows printing without any support structures

Recommendations for mounting:

  • For mounting I use the original Multiconnect Directional Snaps from David D
  • If you want to attach the cable to the back panel, do this first.
  • Next, attach the back panel to the backside of the GAL 18V-160 charger.
  • The final step is to mount the charger, along with the back panel, to the openGrid wall.

Special thanks:

Special thanks to David D for designing the openGrid - Wall/Desk mounting framework/ecosystem.  I am absolutely thrilled with this system - it is by far the best system I know of.
