Description

Aerodynamically Optimized Nozzle Set for MF200 Wolfbox Jet Blower

Overview

This is a high-performance, aerodynamically optimized nozzle set designed specifically for the MF200 Wolfbox blower. Unlike basic slip-on cones that choke airflow and cause motor surge, these nozzles were engineered from the ground up using fluid dynamic principles to maximize exit velocity while maintaining smooth, laminar airflow.

Whether you need a wide sweep or a concentrated blast, this set includes both a Rectangular and a Round output profile to suit your needs.

Engineered for Performance: The Intelligent Design Features

  • Calculated Flow Compression: The exit area is specifically tuned to roughly 85% (~380mm²) of the Fan Swept Area (FSA). This provides maximum air acceleration without generating excess backpressure, preventing impeller stall (cavitation) and protecting the motor from overheating.
  • Integrated Stator Fairing (Tailcone): The stock fan features a flat 18mm motor hub that acts as a bluff body, creating a low-pressure void and severe turbulence. This design integrates a custom, perfectly mated tailcone to give the air a surface to adhere to (Coanda effect), smoothly converging the annular airflow into a unified, high-speed column.
  • Zero-Drag Stator Shadowing: The internal support struts for the tailcone are mapped exactly to the geometry of the blower’s original internal stators. Because they sit perfectly in the slipstream of the existing hardware, they introduce zero new leading-edge drag to the system.
  • Collimated Output: A precise 10mm straight-walled section at the exhaust tip acts as a collimator. This straightens the airflow vectors right before exit, ensuring the air shoots straight forward in a tight beam rather than spraying outward, while being short enough to avoid parasitic skin-friction drag.

Two Nozzle Variants Included

  1. Rectangular Output: Smoothly lofts from the circular fan housing into a rounded rectangle. Perfect for sweeping wide areas, drying surfaces, or blowing debris off workbenches.
  2. Round Output: Converges into a classic, tight circular aperture. Ideal for deep cleaning, blowing out electronics, or maximum concentrated point-pressure.

Recommended Print Settings

  • Orientation: As in the profile
  • Supports: Minimal, easy to remove
  • Walls/Perimeters: 3 to 4 walls for high rigidity and to withstand high-velocity vibration.
  • Material: Designed with PA-CF (Carbon Fiber Nylon) in mind, but works flawlessly with PETG, ABS/ASA, or tough PLA.
  • Layer Height: 0.16mm or 0.20mm for smooth internal aerodynamic curves.
